One person is in custody following a SWAT callout in central Lubbock on Wednesday afternoon.
According to the Lubbock County Sheriff’s Office, the Texas Anti-Gang Unit was attempting to find and arrest Domingo Ray Rodriguez, 33, for an outstanding arrest warrant for assaulting a family member with a previous conviction and tampering and fabricating evidence with intent.
Arresting officers located Rodriguez near 49th Street and Joliet Avenue around 3:50 p.m., which is when Rodriguez went into the residence and refused to come out.
This prompted officers to initiate Barricaded Subject Protocols and the LCSO SWAT team was contacted.
Officers were able to take Rodriguez into custody around 5:30 p.m. and transported to the Lubbock County Detention Center. His bond has been set to $60,000 for the two previous charges, according to LCDC records, with two additional charges of feeling police and a drug possession charge
