UNION COUNTY, N.C. (QUEEN CITY NEWS) — A 19-year-old wanted on 20 outstanding warrants in Union County was captured this week, according to Charlotte-Mecklenburg Police.
Authorities said Jaylin Johnson was arrested following a collaborative investigation between the Charlotte-Mecklenburg Police Department’s Crime Gun Suppression Team and Metro detectives.
Johnson was located and arrested on Tuesday, Oct. 22, for 20 outstanding warrants including assault with a deadly weapon with intent to kill and shooting into an occupied dwelling.
Six firearms were also seized at the time of Johnson’s arrest. Multiple charges are pending for weapons violations, police said. “As a result of this great collaborative effort, an armed violent offender is now in custody,” CMPD said.
Johnson is currently being held in the Union County Detention Center.
