Two people were killed after record-breaking rainfall triggered extensive flash flooding in parts of southeastern New Mexico overnight into Sunday, October 20.
Speaking to the media, New Mexico State Police spokeswoman Amanda Richards said two people were killed in Roswell, where nearly six inches of rain fell on Saturday night, breaking the previous record of 5.65 inches set in 1901.
