An Amber Alert has been canceled after a pregnant woman and her four children were found safe.

Authorities said they were abducted by gunpoint early Friday near Brainerd, Minn. The 33-year-old woman’s boyfriend was the suspect and he was taken into custody in Morrison County, according to the Minnesota Bureau of Criminal Apprehension.

The Crow Wing County Sheriff’s Office reported that the woman and her children, ages 3, 7, 11 and 14, were abducted at gunpoint around 1:50 a.m. on Friday from a residence northeast of Brainerd, which is located about two hours northwest of St. Paul.

The woman’s 35-year-old boyfriend arrived around 1:50 a.m. at a residence on the 15000 block of Loerch Road where the woman and her children were staying. He fired a rifle round into the ceiling of the residence, and forced the woman and her children to leave with him in a vehicle, according to the bulletin.

The man is also suspected of fatally shooting a man at a separate nearby residence and burning down a home on that property, according to the BCA.

In canceling the Amber Alert, the BCA wrote, “Thank you to all who assisted with locating them.”
