Coffee chain to open 2 new Myrtle Beach area spots. Its signature drink is full of caramel

Land is being cleared along U.S. 501 in Conway for a new coffee shop that has hundreds of stores across the country.

Scooter’s Coffee will open on Church Street, next to Jiffy Lube at 1711 Church St.

Both locations are owned by local resident Fred Browder McGill.

McGill said Thursday that he also plans to open another location along Highway 707, near Holmestown Road in the Myrtle Beach area.

It is unclear when the new locations will open.

Scooter’s Coffee was opened in 1998 and is based in Omaha, Nebraska. It hundreds of locations across the country, including several in South Carolina.

It serves coffee, including lattes, Cappuccinos, iced drinks and mini doughnuts. It’s known for its signature drink The Caramelicious.
