In post-Roe America, there has been an abundance of horrific stories about women who have been denied or received delayed healthcare due to their state’s abortion ban – and these stories are hitting people “like a bucket of cold water in the face,” Rachel Maddow tells Ali Velshi. Since the Supreme Court overturned Roe v. Wade, abortion has been a top election issue, but we may still not know how potent the issue actually is. “I don’t think it’s pollable,” Maddow says. “I don’t think people know how viscerally and gutturally this is affecting people’s understanding of what’s at stake here.”
