Alleged ‘Chuco Tango’ gang member arrested on drug-related charges in East El Paso

EL PASO, Texas (KTSM) — An alleged Chuco Tango gang member was arrested for drug-related charges on Wednesday, Oct. 23 in East El Paso, according to the El Paso County Constable’s Office Precinct Three.

Benjamin Alan Rodriguez, 30, was arrested on personal recognizance revocation warrants for two counts of manufacture/delivery of a controlled substance and two counts of possession of a controlled substance with bonds totaling $180,000, according to the Constable’s Office.

On Oct. 23, deputies received information about active personal recognizance revocation warrants for Rodriguez.

According to the Constable’s Office, deputies arrested Rodriguez at the 6400 block of Edgemere with assistance from the El Paso County Criminal Justice Coordination Department.

Rodriguez was identified as a “reputed” Chuco Tango gang member and booked into the El Paso County Jail without incident, according to the Constable’s Office.
