Drug activity may have been involved in the killing of a man whose body was found on Monday Oct. 21 inside of a south Arlington house, police detectives said.
The man was shot to death.
Arlington police on Oct. 22 had no suspect information and had made no arrests.
Patrol officers were about 2 p.m. flagged down by a man who told them he had gone to the house in the 300 block of Kingfisher Lane to check on a family friend who lived there and discovered a body.
Officers found the remains of the dead man, whose name and age the Tarrant County Medical Examiner’s Office has not released, in the living room. Based on the condition of the body, investigators believe he had been dead for days.
Relatives of the house’s registered tenant told detectives they had not heard from him since early Saturday afternoon and contacted the family friend.
