FRUITA, Colo. (KREX) – A two-vehicle crash ended with one of the cars crashing into a Fruita home around noon, Thursday, around the area of East Aspen Avenue and South Pine Street.
According to law enforcement, one of the cars did not stop at a stop sign and hit the other vehicle. The driver and the passenger, as well as the other driver, were taken to the hospital with unknown injuries. No one in the home was hurt.
Speed and distracted driving are suspected factors in the crash.
Aspen Avenue is closed in both directions due to the crash while the Pine Street intersection is open, according to the Fruita Police Department.
FPD and Lower Valley Fire District were on the scene. Black’s Towing Company pulled the car out of the house.
