With Halloween on a Thursday this year, many communities throughout the Milwaukee area are holding their official trick-or-treating festivities over the weekend.
The forecast looks pleasant and sunny over the weekend while rain is possible Thursday. Here’s what to know:
Milwaukee-area trick-or-treating weather forecast
Most communities in Milwaukee, Ozaukee and Washington counties, including the city of Milwaukee and its suburbs, are holding their trick-or-treat times Saturday or Sunday.
According to the National Weather Service forecast, Saturday is expected to be sunny in Milwaukee, with an afternoon high of around 55. Most trick-or-treat times are between 2 and 8 p.m. In Milwaukee, NWS says it will be 54 at 2 p.m. and 47 at 8 p.m.
Sunday’s weather is expected to be similar ― sunny with a high of 60 in Milwaukee. Most trick-or-treat times are between 1 and 7 p.m. NWS says it will be 58 at 1 p.m. and 53 at 7 p.m.
Milwaukee Halloween weather forecast
Because it’s nearly a week out, it’s hard to say for certain what Milwaukee’s weather will look like for Halloween Day on Thursday.
However, NWS is forecasting likely rain in the early morning, tapering off by the afternoon. Precipitation chances climb throughout Wednesday night, peaking at around 70% on Thursday morning. According to AccuWeather, precipitation chances should drop to 25% by the afternoon and 17% by the evening. Milwaukee is expected to see a high of around 60 Thursday.
When is trick-or-treating in Milwaukee, Shorewood, Wauwatosa, Brookfield, Waukesha and other nearby communities?
Most communities in Milwaukee, Ozaukee and Washington counties are holding their official 2024 trick-or-treating hours on Saturday, Oct. 26, or Sunday, Oct. 27.
Trick-or-treating will take place in some Waukesha County communities on Halloween: Thursday, Oct. 31. Other communities in the county will hold trick-or-treating over the weekend.
