Wayne Streeter, 24, and Alana Cagle, 18, were arrested and charged with aggravated battery with a deadly weapon, court records show
A Florida woman and her boyfriend are accused of attacking a man with a hatchet after the woman told him she would tie him up and have sex with him on a beach, authorities say.
Wayne Streeter, 24, of Ormond Beach, and Alana Cagle, 18, of Daytona Beach, were arrested and charged with aggravated battery with a deadly weapon, online court records show.
The bizarre situation came to authorities’ attention on Saturday, Oct. 30, at 8:34 p.m. when a Volusia County Sheriff’s deputy was flagged down by a “frantic man with no shirt on” who was yelling at cars in Ormond-by-the-Sea, according to an arrest affidavit obtained by PEOPLE.
The man, who was bleeding heavily from his right leg and other parts of his body, said that he had been jumped on the beach by two people, later identified as Streeter and Cagle, the affidavit alleges.
The victim told the deputy he agreed to come to the beach with Cagle so she could “tie him up on the beach and have sex with him,” according to the affidavit.
He said Cagle picked him up in her Subaru between 6 and 7 p.m. that night and drove him to Bicentennial Park on Ocean Shore Boulevard, where they walked through an access area to the beach.
When they were at the beach, the victim said he started getting “odd vibes” from Cagle because she was sitting about five feet away from him, the affidavit says.
Cagle began tying his legs together with a yellow rope she’d brought with her. Still feeling “odd,” the victim “said no and that they were not going to do this,” according to the affidavit.

At that moment, the victim said he saw a man wearing black clothing walking toward him and Cagle in the dark, the affidavit says.
The victim started to untie the rope, but Cagle jumped on his legs. Fighting her off, the victim tried to run away, but the male, later identified as Streeter, tackled him and began to choke him, according to the affidavit.
“Observed with what appeared to be a hatchet,” Cagle jumped in and began striking the victim all over his body.
The victim was rushed to a local hospital, suffering from small cuts on his left shin and knee cap, long cuts to his abdomen and deep cuts to his right knee, shin and upper part of his back.
Streeter told the deputy that he and Cagle are boyfriend and girlfriend and drove to the beach by themselves, the affidavit alleges.
Streeter said he started to punch the victim after “he observed (the victim) push Cagle down but did not know how she was pushed,” according to the affidavit.
Both were arrested that night and released the next day after posting $5,000 bonds each, online court records show.
It is unclear whether they have retained attorneys who can speak on their behalf.
