DOTHAN, Ala. (WDHN) — A cross-state police chase ended with a crash, and two women were taken into custody Wednesday night.

According to Rickey Stokes News, the chase began in Bay County, Florida when officers were unable to stop a vehicle during a pursuit.

The driver was able to make it all the way up Highway 231 into Alabama, crossing into Houston County and eventually Dothan.

That is when RSN says the driver crashed into another vehicle just south of the Ross Clark Circle near Wal-Mart.

According to Rickey Stokes, the suspected car crashed into the rear end of another car on HWY 231, which appeared to be on a test drive.

RSN says that the driver then tried to escape the scene but was stopped by Houston County Sheriff’s Deputies.

Two women were taken into the hospital, though it is unclear if they will face charges in Alabama and Florida.

The driver of the other vehicle was not injured.
