Three charged in Lebanon County with “heinous” child sex-related crimes

LEBANON COUNTY, Pa. (WHTM)– Three people in Lebanon County have been charged after multiple children were sexually assaulted over several years, according to the district attorney’s office.

Police received an allegation of potential child abuse committed by Christopher and Katherine Longo via a Childline referral. Upon further investigation, it was determined that multiple children endured years of sexual abuse for nearly two decades, according to the DA’s office.

The alleged abuses began when the victims were as young as five years old. Victims described their experiences, which in some cases involved pain being inflicted on the victims and sexual acts being performed among multiple individuals, the DA’s office said.

The District Attorney’s office says Kelly Longo was aware of the allegations but did not report them to the police.

The extensive abuse alleged by the victims was graphically detailed by the district attorney’s office. Lebanon County District Attorney Pier Hess Graf described Katherine Longo as “the lowest of the low.”

“The allegations put forth by the Victims are heinous,” said Graf in reference to Katherine Longo. “I cannot fathom how a set of facts and string of sexual assaults could be more evil, more disgusting, and more worthy of a Defendant’s rotting in prison,” said Graf.

The DA’s office said Katherine Longo has been charged with the rape of a child, involuntary sexual intercourse with a child – Victim Younger than Sixteen (16), Involuntary Sexual Intercourse With a Child, Indecent Assault – Victim Younger than Thirteen, and other related charges.

Police charged Christopher Longo with Rape of a Child, Involuntary Deviate Sexual
Intercourse with a Child, Statutory Sexual Assault, Aggravated Indecent Assault, Unlawful
Contact with a Minor, Corruption of Minors, Endangering the Welfare of Children, and multiple
other Counts. Police charged Kelly Longo with Endangering the Welfare of Children, Corruption
of Minors, Indecent Assault, and Conspiracy.

Kelly Longo is being held in the Lebanon County Jail on $500,000 bail.

Katherine Longo is being held without bail and Christopher Longo is being held on $2 million bail.

Graf says officials believe additional victims may exist. Anyone with information on the incident should contact the Detective Bureau at 717-228-4403 or the Lebanon City Police Department.
