ORLANDO, Fla. (WFLA) — The two victims killed in the Orlando shooting during Halloween celebrations have been identified by police.
On Saturday, the Orland Police Department said 25-year-old Tyrek Hill and 19-year-old Timothy Schmidt Jr. were killed by the gunman.
17-year-old charged with murder in Orlando Halloween shooting
In the early hours of Nov. 1, 17-year-old Jaylen Dwayne Edgar fired shots, which ended up killing the two men and injuring nine others in the area of East Central Boulevard and North Orange Avenue.
Edgar was charged Friday with two counts of first-degree murder with a firearm and six counts of attempted first-degree murder with a firearm, according to Orlando Police Chief Eric Smith.
The Chief said six of the victims were taken to a nearby hospital for treatment and are currently in stable condition.

The victims’ ages range between 19 and 39. NBC affiliate WESH reported the following on their conditions:

Victim 1: Black male, 25, deceased

Victim 2: White male, 19, deceased

Victim 3: White male, 18, shot in lower left leg

Victim 4: White female, 39, shot in left hand

Victim 5: Hispanic female, 24, shot in left leg

Victim 6: Black male, 20, shot in head (graze)

Victim 7: Hispanic male, 26, shot in right foot

Victim 8: Hispanic female, 19, shot in upper back, lodged in cheek

Victim 9: Hispanic female, 26, injuries from being trampled
That night, police said they had roughly 100 officers patrolling the area went the shooting occurred.
