Video shows man suffer third-degree burns during Phoenix arrest

In July 2024, Michael Kenyon suffered third-degree burns on his body when Phoenix Police pinned him to the ground as they investigated a reported theft in progress. Air temperatures that day reached a record-breaking 114 degrees. Police say it was later determined that Kenyon was not a suspect in the theft. A criminal investigation into officers involved in the incident is underway according to the Phoenix police.
