Frisch’s Big Boy says it will close an unspecified number of its nearly 80 remaining stores in Ohio, Kentucky and Indiana after its landlord disclosed in court documents it has filed to evict the restaurant chain from “more than 20” locations.
The company blamed “unforeseen circumstances,” but wouldn’t elaborate on its problems. Meanwhile, court documents reveal several locations are behind on their rent in lawsuits brought by the company’s landlord, Orlando-based NNN Reit Inc.:

NNN owns 66 Frisch’s properties, according to its portfolio on its website.
Meanwhile, Frisch’s permanently closed its restaurants at 1330 Columbus Ave. in Lebanon and 3560 S Dixie Highway in Middletown on Thursday, The Enquirer confirmed.
